"What would be a great treatment for a client who has an acneic T-Zone (pustules, but also has dilated and broken capillaries, and has been diagnosed with Rosacea by a dermatologist)?"
  • Print

It's important to treat this client with products meant for sensitive skin, especially since she/he has rosacea. Treating the skin with more aggressive, acne-fighting ingredients will likely cause the sensitization to grow worse, which can lead to even more breakouts, among other negative reactions. You could try spot treating the individual breakouts, but again take caution because of the rosacea. Being that this client has a medical condition, make sure you have contact with her/his dermatologist regarding treatment to ensure you aren't using ingredients or treatments that conflict with any treatments the doctor may be conducting.
