"I've heard that Accutane permanently dries skin, even once the treatment is complete. Is this true? And if it is, how does this happen?"

Many people notice that their skin could be a bit drier than normal when using Isotretinoin (formally known as Accutane). Isotretinoin is designed to reduce the amount of oil secretions within the skin. That being said, depending on how long you have been on Isotretinoin you might also notice that the skin is a bit drier or dehydrated depending on the weather, products used, etc. Take caution and maintain/increase hydration within the skin.
