"Are there any skin conditions that would prevent make up from sticking to the skin? I have a client who lightly waxes the sides of her face (in front of her ears) and has done so for years, but she has noticed recently that after doing so, it changes colour and her makeup does not stick at all. She also suffers from Psoriasis in the scalp. I’m stumped – any ideas or suggestions?"

As we know, waxing removes both the hair and the dead skin cells, leaving the skin ultra smooth with little left for the make-up to adhere to. She can apply a silicone-based product to repair the barrier layer that she has depleted. We also suggest she try a mineral-based power (versus a liquid). This should adhere to the skin better.
