It all started when I enrolled myself into The Skin and Body Therapy program within Vancouver Community College. During my program, I was awarded with “The Student of the Year 2011” title, which provided me the advantage of receiving a full year of IDI classes at no extra cost. With this prestigious award, I took part in every IDI class possible. Still to this day, I am keeping an eye out for new classes. The main reason for this? My educators. Both Paula and Cory have shaped me into the skin therapist I am today. They aren’t regular instructors; they are educators with a passion for skin therapy, which makes a difference when coming to class. They are capable of equipping you with key tools to launch your career in the most successful direction.

Clients are able to differentiate a skin therapist to THE skin therapist. By sharing your new found knowledge with your clients, not only do you gain trust, but you also gain respect. I have to be honest, the International Dermal Institute is my secret “weapon” in standing out above others. By taking a variety of classes, I have the opportunity to delve into a whole new insight of the skin and its various functions. Who would have thought that sugar was a culprit when it comes to aging skin? I would have been oblivious to that fact had I not attended the class “Skin Series: Aging Skin.”

Education provided by the International Dermal Institute is and will always be the key to my success. Having the “touch” can only take you so far.
